The project was set to develop a software solution that allows safer cloud utilization when using mobile applications. The goal was to develop a system that will disperse and encrypt data between cloud computing service providers, thus providing a safer use of the base on mobile applications (texts, large databases like audio, video and alike). This solution developed an intermediary interface that, according to the planning tool’s instructions, deployed data between various cloud computing services providers.
Ensuring optimal levels of cyber security in cloud computing when using mobile applications is very important. The purpose of this project was to increase the security of computing in the cloud by developing a system that will allow users to easily use cloud computing services. This digital security solution takes into account the amount of trust in a particular cloud computing service provider and combines different IT security factors in order to verify the credibility of the service provider.
The security of computing in the cloud was part of the Smart Specialization Strategy (S3) within the PTPP area 1. Cybernetic Security. The cyber security project lasted for 36 months, with the industrial research of 33 months and the experimental development of 3 months.
Team conducting the project consisted of 19 members who were in charge of the development activities. The partner participated in the project with four outstanding professors and 4 newly-trained young researchers.
In partnership with Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing (FER) in Zagreb, Oroundo Mobile GmbH implemented the project in Zagreb offices.
The Project was co-financed by the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund.
